One of the best things about launching our Busload of Books Tour project has been discovering and connecting with others who share our mission to get books into the hands of kids.
Case in point, the amazing Molly Ness, a teacher / scholar / author / advocate / force of nature who has recently launched the Coalition for Literacy Equity, a nationwide network of organizations, initiatives, scholars, librarians, and educators working collectively to foster positive reading cultures throughout the country—and to advocate on behalf of the 32 million American children who don’t have access to books.
Robbi and I recently had the pleasure of connecting with Molly to discuss our coming adventure on her End Book Deserts podcast.
